Jaguar Land Rover issued two separate recalls this week, covering close to 66,000 recent Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and LR4 sports utility vehicles combined.
What Owners Should Do: Land Rover will begin notifying owners August 7.
Land Rover says Range Rover models made between July 26, 2012 to March 9, 2015 and Range Rover Sport models made between February 18, 2013 to March 5, 2015 are at risk of the defect.
The Range Rover recalls will be the bigger recall of the two affecting about 65,352 units of the Range Rover.
Ford experienced a similar incident back in April, recalling 389,585 Fiestas, Fusions and Lincoln MKZs for faulty latches that caused doors to pop open during turns.

Nearly 500 model year 2012-2013 Land Rover LR4 vehicles also have problems with things opening when they shouldn’t, specifically the glass of the panoramic roof. The NHTSA says that this is due to the use of an “incorrect primer”, which somehow loosened the panoramic roof adhesive. Those affected will be called in to get the right primer applied.
