FSU’s Everett Golson will start at QB against NC State
Golson suffered a concussion in the October 24 loss to Georgia Tech, and he missed the following game against Syracuse despite passing the concussion protocol.

Florida State will return to graduate transfer Everett Golson as its starting quarterback against North Carolina State on Saturday, Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher said after Thursday’s practice.
Although FSU is out of ACC championship contention, the Noles need three wins in the final four games (including a bowl) to secure a fourth consecutive 10-win season.
“You got to get back out there, get that bad taste out of your mouth and find those little details you let slip out last week”, Fisher said. He then was benched prior to the Clemson game in favor of redshirt junior Sean Maguire. Golson sat out of Florida State’s game against Syracuse with concussion-like symptoms and did not get on the field the following week against Clemson.
“I feel comfortable with Sean, I feel comfortable with Everett”, said Fisher.
“Are there a few plays you wish he could have made?”
Maguire is not hurt, according to Fisher. “I think as a competitor, it’s always important to do that”. “And Everett was great because he was still part of the week”. The senior took first-team reps during brief portions of practice open to media Thursday after working behind Maguire Monday and Tuesday.
