It’s ‘beautiful’ to watch GOP rivals drop out

But Trump did not shy away from touting the positive reviews of his Tuesday night debate performance. “He’s obviously been a very successful business man, an incredibly successful TV star and he does not lack for confidence, I can guaranteed you that”, said Christie.

Trump, in his response, outlined two main goals. “Normally I should say they were all bad, everybody, right?”

Trump said that protesters have made unreasonable demands in the wake of the resignations.

Mr. Christie said that he understood the widespread “anger and disgust” with Washington that has motivated voters to back Mr. Trump, but that they will regret sending someone to the White House who does not have any political experience.

Trump was greeted at the crowded event with a standing ovation. He was asked multiple times at the event about treating heroin and addiction. Hale said every presidential candidate tries to have a few sort of geographic diversity and Trump and Christie are obviously from the same northeastern USA neighborhood.

He said that at the debate, “When I said we’re going to build a wall, the place went insane”.

“So many in the media want to bring me down, because I represent something that they can’t stand”, Carson said, later asking students to pray for him and his family.

“We can make this country better than ever before”, Trump told the crowd. “People get hooked, unknowingly”. Trump remains at the top of the polls in New Hampshire, which is likely to hold its primary on February 9.

“But I think what Donald has tapped into – for a period of time – is just the complete anger and disgust with both parties in Washington”, said Christie.

Trump also reiterated his plan to “leave social security alone” and get rid of fraud, waste, and abuse in the system.

Later on, another audience member asked Trump if he’d given much thought to who he’d pick as vice president – nudging Trump toward Chris Christie for consideration.

His back-to-back events – a live town hall meeting broadcast on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and an appearance at Politics and Eggs, which is sponsored by the New England Council – came several hours after the fourth Republican presidential debate concluded. Attendees sit at white tablecloths and have a nice meal amid wooden eggs that the candidates are supposed to sign.
