Clinton And Sanders Campaigns Spar Over Email Reversal
Bernie Sanders (left) and Hillary Clinton (right) got into it on guns during the first Democratic debate.

The Vermont independent senator and self-described Democratic socialist said the questions surrounding Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state are “valid” and that the investigation should “proceed unimpeded”.
“You get 12 seconds to say these things”, he said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal about his original comments at the October 13 debate. This country faces enormous problems, the email situation with Hillary Clinton, there is a process in which that is going, there are investigations and what happens will happen. Well, it turns out Sanders didnt mean that to suggest he doesnt think theres anything worth investigating.
The atmosphere of the first debate inspired a number of commentators to declare the Democratic primary more “grown-up” and “substantive” than the Republican race. “We have to do a better job of … discussing my record, which in the US Congress is one of the strongest records in terms of civil rights”.
CLINTON: What I favor is what works in NY. Where last week the Clinton camp was calling Sanders sexist, now it’s hinting he’s racist.
‘We can raise our voices, but I come from a rural state, and the views on gun control in rural states are different than in urban states, whether we like it or not, ‘ Sanders said.
“You know, I know you hear this from people like me who are running for office, but I really don’t pay attention to the polls”, Clinton said when asked about recent polls showing double-digit leads – as much as 41 percentage points, in one case – over Vermont Sen. After the debate and Benghazi hearing people were again seeing what many like myself have always known; Clinton is a brilliant woman with a wealth of experience no other candidate comes close too and she will make a great President.
“Well, what motivated that is that I think the American people want substantive discussions on substantive issues”, Sanders said.
New Hampshire Democratic front-runner Bernie Sanders declared a “political revolution” here after firing a new round of salvos against Hillary Clinton, targeting her character and the “damn emails” he once dismissed.
Clinton’s support was higher among African Americans interviewed in the survey than voters overall.

In response to the Clinton campaign’s statement, Sanders spokeswoman Symone Sanders (no relation) said: “Bernie Sanders has always said in this campaign that voters deserve to hear about candidate’s position on issues”. We worked with the Republican leader on the veterans committee in the House to put together the most comprehensive health care legislation in modern history.
