Her relatives notified authorities, and when EMTs from Jamaica Hospital Center arrived, they declared the woman dead. One cop noticed the woman was clearly trying to breathe. By the time she was taken to the hospital between 40 minutes and an hour had passed. “I understand this is a huge mistake, I will be on it as soon as I get out of this hospital”. “He told me ‘I’m sorry I don’t really know.’ He kind of brushed off the question”, she told The Post.

The woman was in critical condition late on Thursday, the Daily News reports. She was declared dead a second time in the evening.

“They told her sorry for your loss”, she said.

A relative of the woman, said, “We’re planning on calling the police and investigating this [incident] ourselves”. They said that it was more than two hours after medics had first arrived. I had no clue that this happened.
