Watch ‘Scandal’ Season 5 Episode 8 Online Live Stream Titled ‘Rasputin’
The Olivia takes on a client, who is accusing women’s right philanthropist Frank Holland (William Russ) of rape. It was the first episode of Scandal in five seasons where I just plain didn’t like Liv.

Speaking of “the boyfriend,” Olivia tells Fitz that she let Rowan out of jail, but she doesn’t mention Mellie. We didn’t get to actually hear any of Liv and Fitz’s fight, which I was OK with. Hang on, it’s flashback time!
She is back in the White House walking around the residence in a robe shortly thereafter. The clock is officially up for Olivia to tell Fitz the truth before he was told. To Olivia’s surprise, she seems to have walked free.
This revelation is great news for Cyrus, who we know isn’t thrilled about Olivia having such a Presidential-like influence over Fitz. But where was the Halloween tree? The soda factory was a coverup.
Number One: At a state dinner Olivia was making small talk to a foreign dignitary when his interpreter began sneaking in desperate pleas for asylum.
Fitz was prepared to sign on the dotted line alongside the John Hancock of President Razani. Have a Coke and a smile! This is the same thing Jake said in the beginning of the episode and brings up a lot of questions about Olivia’s true feelings about Fitz.
Olivia too made note of this later in the episode.
Instead of hearing her explanation, the show cuts out all of the dialogue as we hear the song “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” What was that about?
Even though Jake awkwardly kissed Olivia last week, their scene together this week had absolutely no TLC.
With Fitz trying to get the approval of his other constituents, Bellamy Young’s Mellie Grant will also be threatening Olivia that she may tell on her about their collaboration to get Rowan released from prison. David wanted to use every resource Washington had, and that’s exactly what Cyrus wanted. David discovers that Olivia was behind her father’s escape, and she is arrested for aiding the escape of a prisoner. A cold-hearted Cyrus can barely contain his glee at the prospect of Olivia’s downfall – and they were once besties! Fitz comes and wants to know that it’s not true that she helped release her dad. But like…could this really be the end of Rowan “I AM The Hell And High Water” Pope? Her silence speaks volumes. He leaves; she breaks down in sobs with no one to comfort her. But as Olivia’s face turns from upset to shame and Fitz lets the realization sink in, Carole King’s song slowly takes over the scene. “I forgave you, didn’t I?” Fitz reminds Cyrus. The previous closeness between the two men is gone; they are just boss and employee. Eli killed Jake’s wife, for God’s sake. When Jake went to look for Rowan, Tom was dead (!) and Rowan was gone. It can’t be denied that Papa Pope is constantly worried and anxious for his security whenever he is with them. Actually, Papa Pope is duct taped to a chair in a sketchy-looking warehouse, with a scary Huck.
