GOP Candidates Agree on One Thing: Don’t Raise the Minimum Wage

Voters in Central Florida will get a chance to see the 2016 Republican presidential candidates up close this weekend. Though the audience for Tuesday’s fourth Republican debate, which aired from Milwaukee on Fox Business Network, was comparable to that for the October 28 debate that aired from Boulder, Colorado, on CNBC, the viewership for both of those was significantly lower than the 24 million people who tuned in to the first GOP debate in August. The problem is that he is very likely turning off the more conservative elements of the party, and they dominate the electorates of most of the states that vote before OH on March 15.

Jeb Bush may not have had the best performance during Tuesday night’s primetime debate showing, but he avoided the distinction of the worst, with Ohio Governor John Kasich easily snagging that spot.

After Republicans widely panned the moderators at the previous debate for creating a circus-like atmosphere, the candidates – eight, the smallest group yet – had far deeper discussions about their policy plans, particularly on taxes, military spending and immigration.

The status quo is not as good for Bush, the onetime establishment favorite now clinging to his political life. And it would tear communities apart. “We have to win the presidency”.

And Paul urged Fiorina, after she called for a no-fly zone in Iraq, to “realize that means you are saying we are going to shoot down Russian planes”.

Candidates figure to drop out after the Iowa caucuses (Feb. 1), the New Hampshire primary (Feb. 9), the SC primary (Feb. 20), the Nevada caucuses (Feb. 23), and a series of southern primaries on March 1. If they want to win, the leaders of the politicians’ race need to actively push Trump and Carson out of their way and find a way to attract their supporters. “We all know you can’t pick them up and ship them back across the border”, said John Kasich. I come out I speak my mind. I have a lot of good relationships that you wouldn’t even believe. Until recently, Labour voters in the United Kingdom never thought they’d be wiped out of Scotland. He answered the fewest questions and had less airtime than anyone except Rand Paul.

The USA senator from Texas, considered a mid-tier candidate in terms of his standing in opinion polls, had the highest social media sentiment analysis score of 11 as well as the highest number of mentions on Twitter during the debate, according to Thomson Reuters data.

This is because, apparently, none of the other Republican candidates have emerged as a more palatable and powerful alternative to either Trump or Carson during the campaign and its series of debates.
