In layman’s terms; that means they won!

The Mavericks remain without much identity this season, an issue that was predicted by many heading into the season.

If you passed the rapid-overreaction-fandom-test, congratulations! Anthony Davis helped he Pelicans to an 18-point halftime lead before leaving the game with a hip contusion. Outside of Gordon and Anderson, everybody else who played tonight is normally a 5th option in a normal lineup.

The New Orleans Pelicans snapped a six-game losing start to the season with a 120-105 victory over Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, but celebrations for a first win of the campaign were muted in the wake of an injury to Andrew Davis.

Now on to the recap.

The Mavericks expect to be competing with the Pelicans for a playoff spot this season.

Jones, from Atlanta, has played in eight games this season, primarily on special teams. “We came out in the second half with something we thought would work, and stuck to one thing, and I think that helped us”. He will need to continue the improved shooting as the Hawks are shooting 51.2 percent in their last three games, but they are also allowing opponents to shoot that well too. You struggle with everything you’re trying to do.

Over 48 minutes, the more talented team usually wins.

Nowitzki played a little more than five minutes in the second half, all coming early in the third quarter when he scored nine points, but Dallas was still unable to pose a threat.

Fantasy Impact: Through the Hawks first 10 games of the season, Horford is averaging 17.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 blocks per game, which are similar numbers to what he has produced the last couple of seasons. “The guys took it upon themselves to limit the three’s and do a better job guarding the three-point shooters”.

He wasn’t out there tonight, so we had to find other ways to do it. They did a good job on Ryan (Anderson).

The Pelicans opened the game on a 12-0 run. Ryan Anderson had 17 points and 11 rebounds….

Kristaps Porzingis hit what appeared to be a winning 3-pointer from 29 feet on the ensuing inbounds play, but officials huddled and ruled that he didn’t get the shot off in time.

The dude straight up carried the Pelicans in their post-halftime extended slaughtering of the Dallas Mavericks, and was crashing the boards as well giving the Pelicans an incredible 5 second chance opportunities through his dedication to offensive rebounding.

So, up next is the Clippers, a team that’s already beaten the Mavericks, albeit without starting back court players Wesley Matthews and Deron Williams. “Even with Anthony playing, we’ve got a few really key guys sitting out”, Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry said. An appetizer version of what will once day become the Pelican’s buffet.
