The Harry Potter actor received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame Thursday. “It is incredibly surreal and slightly overwhelming”. Radcliffe, 26, shoved off his acting career with a bang, starring in all eight of the Harry Potter films as Harry himself.
The event was attended by hordes of Harry Potter fans as well as director Chris Columbus, who helmed the franchise’s first two movies, and Daniel told of his delight at being included alongside all the Hollywood greats.
“But regardless of what day I was having, I was always lucky as there was always a film to make and a film set to go to and a crew of people waiting to make it with me”.
‘I have to thank them because you are the best parents, ‘ he added. I was very lucky to get the part of Harry.
The star went on to say how lucky he felt and vowed never to take his position for granted.
“Dog died, go make a movie. Had your first kiss – go celebrate by making a goddamn movie”, he said.
The 26-year-old British actor was presented with the 2,565th star during the ceremony in Los Angeles, California. He has found steady work, landing roles in The Woman in Black, Horns and is now promoting his latest film Victor Frankenstein, in which he plays Dr. Frankenstein’s sidekick Igor.
