According to Hot New Hip Hop, the Creed soundtrack will also include a collaboration between Vince Staples and Childish Gambino titled “Waiting for My Moment”; the film’s composer Goransson previously served as producer on Gambino’s Because the Internet and Camp LPs.
From Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Warner Bros.
Opening November 25, Creed may initially be seen as a continuation of the Rocky franchise thanks to the involvement of Sylvester Stallone, but now a generation of fighter has emerged in Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan). The plot follows Adonis Creed – the son of Sylvester Stallone’s infamous Rocky opponent, Apollo Creed. After heading to Philadelphia, Adonis is able to track down Rocky Balboa and asks him to be his trainer. Despite his insistence that he is out of the fight game for good, Rocky decides to take on the challenge as he is already dealing with another battle outside of the ring. In the intro, he says even his grandma didn’t believe in him.

“With Rocky in his corner, it isn’t long before Adonis gets his own shot at the title…but can he develop not only the drive but also the heart of a true fighter, in time to get into the ring?” Ryan Coogler directed from a screenplay he wrote with Aaron Covington, based on a story by Coogler.
