4 more women to join defamation suit against Bill Cosby
The depositions were ordered to occur this month by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge on November 2, but Cosby’s attorneys appealed and the appellate court wants legal briefs filed by the end of the month.

In an amended complaint filed on Friday and obtained by EW, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis, Louisa Moritz, and Angela Leslie join the three women who previously brought the complaint in MA.
A California appeals court has put on hold the scheduled deposition of Bill Cosby in the defamation lawsuit brought by a former supermodel who said the comedian called her a liar after she went public with allegations of rape, her attorney said on Thursday.
“Mr. Cosby has employed several law firms with a combined total of over 700 lawyers in an attempt to avoid answering questions from me under oath in our case”, Dickinson’s attorney Lisa Bloom said in a statement. Instead, a lawyer for three already named plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed a notice saying four new plaintiffs will be added.
The actress, who claimed Cosby forced oral sex on her in a dressing room before appearing on Johnny Carson’s “Tonight Show” in 1971, said that Cosby’s lawyer Marty Singer comments were not only defamatory, but also brought up irrelevant information to smear her – such as the fact that she, also a lawyer, was disciplined by the State Bar of California.
Marshall Searcy III, who is listed as Cosby’s attorney on the court filing, declined to comment.
The notice said both sides agree that all seven women will take a single deposition from Cosby. Cosby has denied a few of the allegations and has not been charged with a crime.
Dickinson, 60, is one of more than 50 women who have come forward to accuse Cosby of sexually assaulting them after plying them with drugs or alcohol.

Therese Serignese says she was exposed to similar ridicule after coming forward and alleging Cosby assault her at a party in 1967 when she was just 19.
