Prosecutors submitted their own sentencing memorandum Thursday requesting a 12 ½-year term – the most they’d agreed to seek under the plea deal – and a lifetime of supervision after his release.

“As he will tell the Court himself next week, Mr. Fogle is profoundly sorry for what he has done”, the documents read. “He is painfully aware of the fact that he has impacted the lives of minor victims, hurt those closest to him, and, for all practical purposes, destroyed the life he worked to build over the last eighteen years”.
In the court filings, attorneys say Fogle is profoundly sorry for what he has done and understands that he has medical issues he must address.
Subway severed its relationship with Fogle after the allegations surfaced. The child-porn charge carries a maximum 20 years in prison, and the sex with a minor count is punishable by up to 30 years.
Fogle, who’s now on home arrest, will be sentenced November 19 in his native Indiana.

The 38-year-old received the lion’s share of the child porn from his former foundation head Russell Taylor, who produced a few of the videos personally and acquired others from Eastern Europe, court docs stated, noting that Fogle also had sex with prostitutes on “hundreds of occasions” – including twice with underage girls. “He emboldened a molester and a producer of child pornography”.
