I’m not a coffee drinker. but if I were I’d have a special bias for Dunkin’ Donuts since it began putting my wife’s name on its everyday cups for this holiday season: Joy.

Stone argues that to about 41 million consumers, those symbols put them in the mind of Christmas.
Dunkin Donuts is ringing in the holiday season with a new festive cup.
Starbucks said that the plain red cup is the canvas for people which they can use to celebrate Christmas the way they want to.
Mayor de Blasio is stirring the cup, so to speak, in the Republican presidential primary as he questions Trump’s latest battle. “We have anchored the design with the classic Starbucks holiday red that is bright and exciting”, he added. And if the Starbucks internet is down, again, apply the wifi sticker and your cup will instantly turn into a wireless router. In fact, do you realize that Starbucks [employees aren’t] allowed to say Merry Christmas to customers?
Have you heard the news about Starbucks alleged war on Christmas? From simple snowflakes, to ornaments, to winking snowman, each year the design is unique and exclusive.
“I think, by the way, as a company, I give them a lot of credit – with what they’re doing on health insurance; what they’re doing on getting educational opportunities for their workers”, de Blasio said.
Meanwhile, the cheery Dunkin’ Donuts cups have now been embraced by those turned off by Starbucks’ more staid version.
The controversy has done one thing: created more buzz about Starbucks than a new Starbucks coming into town would do.
He expressed displeasure in the decision, apparently seeing it as a move in the opposite direction. If we are not careful, we will become the proverbial “boy who cried wolf”.

A tweet from a Starbucks customer explains the controversy: “If your way of “pranking” Starbucks involves buying a cup of their coffee, I’m pretty sure the joke’s on you!”. Christian Watson who runs a branding company in Houston called 1924 posted this image of a Starbucks cup to Instagram on Monday.
