Odell Beckham is very impressed with Bill Belichick’s film-watching volume

For New England quarterback Tom Brady, that preparation includes plenty of practice time with second-string and third-string players who may be needed in the event of an injury.

NY Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul – the guy who was already the target of the internet’s jeering for blowing off 1.5 fingers last Fourth of July – issued a very mild threat to the Pats’ quarterback-demigod.

Both the Patriots and Giants lead their divisions, but it’s been two very different stories.

“Honestly you could look across the board and try and find a weakness and your guess is as good as mine”, Vereen said. “And I’m always looking for ways to improve”. All the way around, they’re strong. “So it’s going to a tough challenge for us, but we’re going to accept it”. He is second in league with 81 points…. They are in the bottom 10 in league in total rushing yards, and have even had a game where Brady was the leading rusher with 15 yards. Is it a coincidence that none of those narratives involve success from New England? No. They probably will return after the bye week. Of his bond with Belichick, Coughlin would say, “I really do feel like the way in which we worked was something that became, for our entire team, a good example for the rest of our coaches and players in terms of cooperating so that we might be the best that we could be”. I trust myself, but I think I’ve just got to trust myself even more. In the past two weeks we have seen two of the then five remaining unbeaten teams receive their first losses in the Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos.

D/ST – The Patriots have the best quarterback, tight end, and they never turn the ball over.

“I mean, there’s just a lot of the same stuff going on”. “We just haven’t won as many of them as I would have like to have won”. It’s not the same team this season.

GRONK: Tight ends have hurt the Giants and Rob Gronkowski is a matchup nightmare. “We have to have a few patience with it and he’ll have an opportunity during the course of the game at a few point, and if you play with poise and take advantage of the opportunity when your number is called, that’s all you can do”. If the Giants want to keep up with what Brady is going to do to their soft defense, they will need Beckham to make big plays – and unlike so many other Pats trash-talkers in the past, he has a good chance to back it up. They upset the Patriots in Super Bowls to conclude the ’07 and 2011 seasons. The Giants, who have won three-straight games in the series, are the only National Football League team the reigning Super Bowl champions have not defeated since 2008. If the Patriots can stuff the run and sit on the slant and short routes, Manning will have to prove he can strike vertically in the face of pressure. The bad news is that their defense ranks 32nd (that’s dead last folks) in yards allowed per game. NY works hard to take it away, with 13 interceptions and eight fumble recoveries.

Were those bitter New England defeats matters of happenstance that could’ve been prevented by Asante Samuel (dropped clinching interception in XLII) and Wes Welker (dropped clinching pass in XLVI)?
