According to a stipulation filed Friday, a third amended complaint will also include “new claims and allegations by the original three plaintiffs, all so that the seven plaintiffs may claim defamation, false light, and/or intentional infliction of emotional distress”.
Tarshis, meanwhile, says she was attacked twice by Cosby when he drugged her in 1969 when she was an aspiring comedy writer aged 19. She claimed in a previous interview with TMZ that she was in the green room of the “Tonight Show” when Cosby, a frequent guest host, knocked on the door. Moritz said Cosby entered her dressing room, exposed his penis to her, and said, “Have a taste of this”. Leslie, of MI, claims Cosby assaulted her while she met with him in his Las Vegas suite in 1992.
Tarshis described the backlash she experienced after Cosby’s team publicly denied her story, recalling how she was even spat on by a woman who accused her of being a liar.
The comedian allegedly told her he was impressed by her work and “implied that he was going to see to it that I will become a major star through his direction”.
‘This is their opportunity to have their day in court and to attempt to restore their good name and reputation’.
Cammarata said he plans to depose Cosby and his associates as part of the defamation lawsuit.

“We are confident that once the Court of Appeals hears full argument on the issues it will allow the deposition of Mr. Cosby and his attorney to go forward”, Dickinson’s attorney Lisa Bloom wrote in an email. Another Cosby attorney, Monique Pressley, did not respond to a request for comment.
