Scrooges at the five-star Celtic Manor Resort was blasted for giving Mrs Christmas £6.70 an hour while the male Santa is on £12 an hour.

While the subway will be at full service for the Santa Claus Parade, it’s worth noting that Line 1 will be closed between St. George and St. Clair West stations on Saturday, November 14 due to track work.
“The best thing the company can do to keep the Christmas spirit intact at Christmas Kingdom is admit they have got it wrong and do the right thing by paying both roles equally”.
Christmas came early for the citizens of North Pole, Alaska in October after a man named Santa Claus won a seat on the city’s council.
The jobs involve leading festive entertainment for children at the hotel’s Christmas Kingdom and last until December 24.
Kim Rees, 33, a mother-of-two from Ringland, Newport, said: ‘It’s not fair – there’s a huge difference between the two rates of pay.
“The role requires a very particular set of skills and carries considerable expectations of character and appearance as he interacts personally with all his visitors”.
You could be working as Mrs Claus at a Christmas Kingdom opening later this month – but you’ll be getting paid half as much as Santa.
