Adele’s Upcoming Album Might Not Debut On Spotify [Rumor]

“Adele also confessed she contemplated giving up on music after the major success of her sophomore effort, 21”, fearing that she would not be able to produce something as good. But right now Adele holds all the cards, and everyone is stuck playing the waiting game until she’s ready to show her hand.

Adele said that she found inspiration for “25” from motherhood – she has a 3-year-old son Angelo with boyfriend Simon Konecki – and from her insistence on living a non-glamorous life. Or publicly well-up on the subway while people scoot away from her?

Come back she did, of course, with the song that has launched a thousand memes and gave us the best/unintentionally campiest music videos of the year. Speaking with Rolling Stone, the singer unapologetically revealed she doesn’t want to bask in the fame.

We’re sure her next album, 25, will break plenty of records, too. And, if the rumours are true about Coldplay withholding their new album, A Head Full of Dreams (due for release on December 4th) from the service, Spotify may have to reassess their business model for mega artists – or find themselves in an increasingly tight, eh, spot. Well, it turns out Adele’s process for writing the album wasn’t that different. The 27-year-old British singer and songwriter might say hello to Apple Music and good-bye to Spotify. At the same time, that decision could end up alienating over 70% of Spotify users around the world, which would be hurting business far more. The tune stays true to Adele’s glossy, chilling vocals with a simple melody but now holds a sense of modernity.

Adele, who is in the midst of a music comeback, strikes a fierce and gorgeous pose on the cover of The Guardian newspaper’s The Observer Music magazine. She’s spent 38 weeks atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, and her songs have been streamed more than 1.5 billion times worldwide.

Saying, “Some songs are not good enough and I think that’s where a lot of people go wrong, thinking that people will buy any old [songs] from you”.

This CD cover image released by Columbia Records shows “25”, the latest release by Adele. While many of her peers also boost their bank balances with endorsements for popular brands, Adele has no intention of heading down that path.
