Emotional Geraldo Rivera Breaks Down Describing How His Daughter
Fox News correspondent Geraldo Rivera broke down on the air Friday night while waiting for news that his daughter, Simone, had safely gotten away from the Stade de France, the field where she went with her best friend to watch the France-Germany soccer match.

“My daughter Simone told me she heard the three explosions near halftime”, Rivera told Fox News’ Shepard Smith.
He recounted how he found out what had happened and got emotional as he showed a picture of him and his daughter and said she just turned 21. Multiple mass shootings also occurred, with gunmen storming the Bataclan arts center, where the American band Eagles of Death Metal was among the bands performing.
During the incident, as Simone escaped the stadium unharmed, she was unable to use her phone to contact her parents and let them know she was okay.
Simone and her friend Isabel were close by the horrific attack, in which at least three people are thought to have died – with more than 120 people losing their lives across the city throughout the night. “We’re very concerned, we won’t rest until she is in her apartment”. After fleeing soccer stadium she was stranded. “A blessed Paris friend drove to area & is taking her home”.

Several dozen people were killed Friday in a series of terror attacks, the deadliest to hit Paris since World War II, French President Francois Hollande said, announcing that he was closing the country’s borders and declaring a state of emergency.
