Happy returns for Rex Ryan

Rex Ryan’s new team, the Buffalo Bills, beat his old team, the NY Jets, 22-17 on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium.

“We’ll see how it goes, but that’s the intention”, Fitzpatrick said, via ESPN.com. Ryan was thrilled that his team was able to top the Jets 22-17.

“The game felt like playoff intensity – both teams fighting for their lives to get in”, Ryan said. “It just didn’t work out”. But the Jets only moved six yards in three plays and Bowles opted for the lead instead of a chip shot field goal that could have left his team down two points with all three timeouts remaining and approximately three minutes remaining. We just wanted to come out with a win. “It’s as simple as that”.

Ryan’s explanation is a bit confusing; Johnson was only in San Francisco in 2014, when Ryan himself coached the Jets.

“Well, I’d like to say to (Buffalo News writer) Vic Carucci right there, you went off on me about giving my team the week off and all that type of stuff, but it showed – we won two games”, Ryan said. And you guys can equate, like every guy in the room has been dumped by a few girl. The Chiefs are dealing with the season-ending injury to running back Jammal Charles, but they won’t be a pushover. The Jets swarmed over Buffalo P Colton Schmidt after he dropped a fourth-quarter snap, setting up an opportunity that the offense wasted.

“I’m not sure how much coaching he did”, Hunziker said.

It’s a big deal, because all Decker had to do was catch the ball and fall down to get a first down. “That’s how it happened”. On the first play, Fitzpatrick’s deep throw for Kenbrell Thompkins down the sideline was picked off by Rambo – sending Ryan into a full-out celebration.

“We know what we’re trying to accomplish and we’re dead serious about it”, Ryan told reporters Friday. He will have surgery Friday on his injured left thumb, but is not expected to miss any games.

Chris Ivory had 99 yards on 18 carries, but also had a costly fumble in the third quarter for the Jets.

Buffalo running back LeSean McCoy (19 carries for 112 yards) gained 32 yards during the subsequent possession as the Bills collected two first downs, forced the Jets to use all their timeouts and bled 2:23 off the clock.

With the game tied at 3, Duke Williams scooped up a fumble by rookie Devin Smith on the first kickoff return of his career. It was an ugly, embarrassing play that ruined a potential game-winning touchdown. The Jets offense continued to roll on the ensuing drive, with pickups of 16 and 21 yards on the first two plays to get deep into Bills territory.

While the Jets look to get Fitzpatrick back soon, Stacy suffered a serious injury after returning a kickoff on Thursday night.

The protocol of dark and light uniforms dates back to the days of black-and-white television, but in recent years more teams in more sports are taking advantage of the limitless spectrum of colors, patterns, brightness and combinations.

“We had a million chances today in the second half”, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said after it was over.

“Yes, it really is (frustrating)”, said Darrelle Revis, who Ryan referred to after the game as one of the best cornerbacks in National Football League history.

The Jets quarterback passed Sid Luckman, a Columbia grad, who threw 136 touchdown passes between 1939 and 1950.
