Mourinho will return to Madrid if Chelsea sack him – Calderon

Ancelotti’s assessment is that members of the Chelsea squad lack the motivation to repeat last season’s triumphs. “In one year I won two titles – one being the Premier League”. All is not well. If you are not, then it will be even worse.

He further added, “Sometimes you can’t explain why things happen… what is going wrong”.

“Those of us who have been most criticised are Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and myself, but you get used to it”.

“We’re not doing well in the league at the moment”.

Former England coach Sven Goran Eriksson has come out in support of embattled Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, asserting that he has the ability to swing around the dismal season of the reigning English Premier League (EPL) champions.

Fabregas stands accused by a few of turning players against the Portuguese – a scheme he claims could have been “invented by a guy on his sofa”.

The question of whether Chelsea’s players are performing at their highest level for Mourinho has been raised by fans and pundits alike but Cascarino puts it purely down to a drop in form.

“I looked out for the club and I kept my mouth shut”.

Mourinho’s man management skills have been questioned following reports that a few of the senior players do not want to play for him.

However, things have taken a major nosedive since Mourinho waved goodbye to Ivorian Drogba and Chelsea now lie 16th in the division after losing seven of their opening 12 domestic fixtures. When he does get them back, it’s only going to be for a very short period of time to prepare for the next game.

Zola, who was appointed coach of Qatari side al-Arabi in July, agreed that Chelsea are too good to struggle for long.

Drogba played under Mourinho during both of his stints in charge at Stamford Bridge and has hinted that history could be repeating itself this season.

The Spaniard was left out of the starting lineup for Chelsea’s latest defeat at Stoke City last weekend and it remains to be seen if he will continue to be a high-profile scapegoat.
