Setanta announce new deal to secure European and Premier League football for
Those matches will not be shown in Britain due to a blackout on live games shown on television on Saturdays between 2:45pm and 5:15pm. Sky will now also broadcast matches live on Friday nights.

The new deal starts next season and will run up to the 2018-19 season, with the sports broadcaster taking possession of 159 games to be broadcast exclusively on their platform.
Delia Bushell, Managing Director of BT TV and BT Sport, added: “Setanta Sports have been great to work with over the past two and a half years and we are delighted that they will continue to carry our BT Sport channels for the long term”.
Liverpool’s games against Arsenal (h), Man United (h) and Norwich City (a) will now be shown on BT or Sky Sports. This round will also include Premier League teams for the first time as they enter along with Championship clubs to join those who’ve battled through from Round 2.
Pay-TV broadcaster Sky Sports has picked up a package of live broadcast rights to the English Premier League in the Republic of Ireland.
– Live coverage on more days of the week, with matches on Friday evenings for the first time as well as Saturday lunchtime and 3pm, Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings.

“From the 2016-17 season, our viewers in Ireland will be able to enjoy even more of the best Premier League matches across more days of the week than ever before”. Irish audiences can watch 28 Saturday evening Premier League games on the Setanta Sports pack from August 2016.
