Charles in Australia amid monarchy debate

Ruth Lee told AAP she wasn’t sure how much longer the monarchy would last but wanted to meet the royal couple because they’re part of Australia’s cultural history. There has never been a better time to be an Australian.

The emotional centerpiece of Charles’s visit was the ceremonies of Remembrance Day, November 11.

Duchess of Cornwall and republican Lucy Turnbull find common ground.

Treasurer Scott Morrison noted the fall in the unemployment rate came as the participation rate for people looking for work also increased.

“If Charles becomes the King of the United Kingdom, as I’ve got no doubt he will be, unless our constitution has been changed, he will become the King of Australia”, he told reporters.

The royal couple will spend the day at the Albany agricultural show and the National Anzac Centre on Mount Adelaide before being whisked back to Perth for the Prince’s 67th birthday party.
