Foo Fighters Cancel Tour Due To Paris Terrorist Attacks
Foo Fighters, U2, and Deftones have been forced to cancel dates in the wake of the attacks in Paris France. “In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and worldwide mourning, we can’t continue right now”, the band said in a statement released Saturday.

Dave Grohl and company had four shows remaining when the announcement was made.
The band was scheduled to play Paris on Monday, November 16. Better to disappoint people by not showing up and giving them a refund than taking their money and just laying an egg out on stage. The show was supposed to air on HBO, and the band added, “U2 and Live Nation, along with HBO who were due to live broadcast the Saturday concert, are fully resolved to go ahead with this show at an appropriate time”.
Deftones wrote on Facebook: “Thanks for all your inquiries on our wellbeing”.
“We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight”, U2 said in a statement from Paris on Friday night, where they were preparing for the show. “All our thoughts are with the Eagles of Death Metal fans”. The singer said that he found out about the events after his first performance and used Twitter to send his thoughts and prayers to the people affected.
As ET previously reported, the President of France declared a state of emergency on Friday after a series of shootings and explosions began at multiple sites throughout the city, including the Stade de France and Bataclan concert hall. The paper identified the drummer as Julian Dorio, from Atlanta.
They were then expected to travel to Barcelona for a gig on Thursday.

Though their name is Eagles Of Death Metal, the band’s sound is a mix of blues and garage rock.
