I’ll be honest – I’d love be able to say that I hate Justin Bieber’s new album. Bieber keeps his promise as he wades into already-released territory: crooning softly over a towering electronic beat on the vulnerable I’ll Show You, before gliding into smooth falsetto for the moombahton-inspired Sorry.

He opens the album – with noteworthy production from EDM expert Skrillex – with downbeat songs both personal and real. Nonetheless, I have to call it like I see it – and even though objective is undeniably a pop effort, it’s just plain honest.

In the last two minutes of goal, Bieber said along with piano accompaniment: “We weren’t put in the best position to make the best decisions”.
Sure, many people will still refuse to listen for the sole reason that it’s him, but ultimately, that’s just their loss.

Today is of course Friday the 13th, but for fans of One Direction and Justin Bieber, it’s a day to be celebrated rather than dreaded as the stars’ albums hit the shelves.
