Bill Cosby’s deposition delayed in Janice Dickinson suit
In a statement, Dickinson’s attorney Lisa Bloom said that the legal team of Cosby has challenged the ruling, and the deposition has been put off by the 2nd District Court of Appeal, while arguments are going on.

Four more women have filed defamation lawsuits against veteran entertainer Bill Cosby.
On Friday, four new women joined an existing federal defamation lawsuit against the entertainer brought by three other women in MA.
Despite making their claims public, no criminal charges have ever been brought against Cosby. Cosby has denied a few of the allegations and has not been charged with a crime.
Cosby’s lawyers want the case dismissed, but a judge ordered the depositions so Dickinson’s lawyers can properly oppose the motion.
Dickinson’s defamation suit is one of four filed against the comedian in the past year.
Essentially, lawyers say, the suits hinge on whether the women can show they were telling the truth about accusations of sexual assault that occurred many years ago, and that Mr. Cosby, through his representatives, was thus lying when he called their allegations false.
Dickinson has alleged that Cosby drugged and raped her in a Lake Tahoe, California, hotel room in 1982.
In other words, Bloom would not be able to question Cosby about the dozens of other women who have accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting or abusing them.
Bowman said on Friday that she looks forward to having her day in court “under oath in front of a jury who will make a final decision for us”. In May, three accusers, Tamara Green, Therese Seignese and Linda Traitz, all sued Cosby together for defamation.
In the new amended complaint, Bowman, Tarshis, Moritz, and Leslie all detail their encounters with Cosby.
“Last spring I was with my father at his lawyer’s office and I had to go out to the auto to get something”, she said at Friday’s press conference. She was Jane Doe Number 7 in former Temple University employee Andrea Constand’s 2005 civil lawsuit against Cosby, according to People.com.

Cosby’s legal team has argued in court that he should not have to be deposed until Dickinson demonstrates “a reasonable possibility of success on her claims, which Ms. Dickinson has not yet attempted to show”, Pressley added.
