The National Hockey League has chose to suspend Gabriel Landeskog for his hit on Brad Marchand during Wednesday’s Boston Bruins/Colorado Avalanche game.

Matt Duchene broke a tie in the third period with his sixth goal in five games and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Boston Bruins 3-2 on Thursday night.
Marchand was fined a maximum fine of $5,000 for the sucker punch he delivered on Landeskog after the play.
“It’s one of those hits that you’re trying to get rid of in the game”, Patrice Bergeron said.
“I thought in the third period, one team was more determined than the other”, Bruins coach Claude Julien said. Through the team’s first 11 games played, Duchene had just scored three points – only one of which was a goal. Duchene can ensure he remains with the Avalanche by coming up big on this seven-game road trip. It’s not working (with) what they have roster-wise and outside of Nathan MacKinnon, who is untouchable, I think there are a lot of players available if the price is right.
As I said before, the notion of trading Duchene screams panic move.
Duchene displayed his talent on Thursday night, scoring the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over Boston.
Sakic, per a report from Adrian Dater – who also was the first to suggest that Duchene’s name was being bandied about in trade discussions – is eyeing any and every deal that could potentially upgrade his struggling lineup.
Landeskog added: “We saw the same thing with Paul Stastny for the two years I played with Paul”.
“I knew that if I just stuck with it, stayed positive and didn’t grip the stick too much, eventually they would start going in”, Duchene said. “The video shows the principal point of contact was shoulder, and I even tried to apologize”.
Hitting and fighting don’t always go hand in hand. He registered an assist on October 10 in Hershey’s 2015-16 season opener against Springfield and has earned 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) in 57 career AHL games.
In his last three games, Berra has posted a 2-1 record, one of his victories was a 25-save shutout of the Flyers.
Rozsival, 37, has missed the entire season with a broken left ankle sustained during the Blackhawks’ Western Conference second-round series against the Minnesota Wild last season.
