“Your heart goes out to all the people who weren’t as lucky and who were in the area”. “The other three are in southern France and we are actively reaching out to them, their coordinators and our partner universities”, the statement continued.
NU’s worldwide Student Association will host a vigil Sunday in solidarity with Paris and Beirut, Lebanon, where The NY Times reported at least 43 people were killed Thursday in Islamic State groupsuicide bombings. We will update this story when we hear back from them.
All Furman University students on study overseas trips are accounted for, Moore said. One of those students was visiting Paris yesterday, and another United Kingdom student studying in Germany had also visited Paris yesterday. The University will continue to monitor the situation on its end to make sure that is still appropriate.
