Apple CEO Tim Cook reiterates in email to employees: “Apple is open”

CEO Tim Cook rejected an incident that took place on Tuesday at the Apple Store located at the Highpoint shopping center in Melbourne, Australia, where six black high school students who were dressed in their school uniforms were asked to leave, as employees thought they might steal any item.

The day after the case of racial discrimination she met with the students of a nearby school and expressed a honest apology on behalf of the Apple Store and the entire company.

Cook wrote that Apple Stores are open to customers from all walks of life.

“Inclusion and diversity are among Apple’s core values”, the company said in the statement, according to The Mac Observer, an online news site covering Apple. “That applies throughout our company, around the world with no exceptions”, Apple said in a statement emailed to CNBC.
