The Blues are 15th on the Premier League table, having lost six of their first 11 games.

The dramatic win propelled Chelsea into second place in Group G with two games left to play, but it was the pressure release on Mourinho that altered the mood around the club in an instant.

“For me, from an ex-pro’s point of view, it’s always more down to the players than it is the manager”, the former Chelsea, Manchester United and Australia glovesman told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

“Today it was flawless because we conceded a goal with 15 minutes to go and the team emerged”, he added. Faced with a must-win match, Mourinho opted to leave out Belgium playmaker Hazard, who was voted Footballer of the Year last term, but has been way short of that fine form this season.

Chelsea needed an 83rd-minute goal from Willian to see Dynamo off, yet the Brazilian was pleased with his side’s overall performance. He said: “With Chelsea, I think this is my moment”.

“The fans recognise I’m a good pro and have brought them great memories. And the fans showed their passion for the club”.

“This Dynamo is much better than the one I played with Inter in 2010”. On the day she was born I had a match and wasn’t there.

“I think he will still be the manager at the end of the season”, Wilkins told talkSPORT.

‘Real Madrid are keen on taking him off Chelsea’s hands.

“The difference today was that we had confidence in the negative moment”. “This comes at a moment when the results are not good and you [the media] are asking for my head”.

In addition, defender Branislav Ivanovic is also out with a hamstring injury, and winger Pedro will also be missing for today’s Champions League game. It was fantastic. The club should be proud of their fans.

“Probably they are bullied by other kids from teams that are winning matches”.
