Silva – I think Ronaldo will come

Ronaldo has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Real Madrid to the rich boys of the Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain.

His declaration of Ronaldo being the “best player ever for sure”, for instance, is an exaggeration to say the least.

“I just have to say thank you for what (Ferguson) did for me”, he said.

He said it was unusual to have a film crew in his house.

“It’s people that I trust, that I like and people I love”.

Made by James Gay-Rees, the producer of another ground-breaking sports documentary “Senna”, “Ronaldo” the movie was filmed across 14 months during which the film crew had unprecedented access to the Portugal superstar’s private and public life.

“I don t regret anything”.

“But it’s true, the time I spent here, people treated me unbelievably”.

He said he was happy to give back to his supporters.

“In football I do not have a lot of friends… most of the time I am alone”, Ronaldo says. “First of all, I’m against that debate because I think we are first a team sport”.

“I do not want to [think about] yesterday on this day, because it is such a special day for me. I was feeling bad”.

He also refused to be drawn on the crisis surrounding suspended Federation Internationale de Football Association president Sepp Blatter, who is pictured in the film during scenes shot at various Ballon d Or galas. Ronaldo’s story of success and hard work is a part of every person’s dream. “Cristiano was an unwanted baby but he’s given me so much joy”.

A tuxedo-clad Ronaldo was greeted by hundreds of fans when he arrived with his mother and son for the film’s official premiere at a London cinema on Monday.

“Cristiano Jnr appreciates good players like his dad”. He doesn’t just speak about Lionel Messi. He’s intelligent. He knows. He also spoke passionately about his six-year spell at Old Trafford and his feelings for the man whose words encouraged him to make the move from Sporting Lisbon in 2003.
