Another set of changes were announced Tuesday for Indianapolis, Michigan and Darlington.

The Kentucky victor will go head-to-head against fellow amateur eaters at the race in Miami, Florida in November 2015 to culminate the season-long competition.

Track facts: Brad Keselowski led 199 laps to win last year’s race.

At many venues – particularly intermediate tracks – there’s been little sign of improvement with the roll-out of the Gen 6 vehicle – or the subsequent modifications. That’s just not stock vehicle racing. “So I don’t know if it’s following us or what the deal is”.

While Kentucky weather forced drivers to wait another day to see what effect the new rules will have, Carl Edwards seemed excited about them for himself and spectators.

The track qualifying record for Sprint Cup cars has been broken four times since June 2012.

“So I think what that comes back to is kind of a self-awareness that the sport is starting to grow, that I’m very supportive of, that running the same rules package or vehicle at every race track, despite glaring differences in layouts, is probably not in the best interest of this sport”. “I have no idea what happened there”. I think that we’ll at least end up getting some practice.

“We should be racing in California more cause they really need the water, everywhere we’ve gone it’s rained”, said Biffle.

Wednesday’s first practice was scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., but a persistent rain kept cars from taking the track. He’s expected to climb the NASCAR ladder to the Sprint Cup Series. And after those with victories, drivers with the best position in points fill out the top 16.

Jones is competing in this race for the first time. “And each of these, including Kentucky this weekend, I think shows everybody that we’ve got several components that make up a rules package each week, and they can certainly be adjusted, and we will do that if we can do something that we believe will improve the racing for the fans at each track”. Not having a new victor and then not having a awful finish. It’s a piece of aluminum, so that doesn’t really cost us anything. “It’s a special opportunity and I just want to do my best and finish all the laps”.

Jeff Gordon made MIS the fastest track in NASCAR in August qualifying past year when he averaged 206.558 miles per hour in his Chevrolet to capture pole. If he can maintain that pace for the next nine races, a first-time berth in the Chase could be in his future.
