Jacksonville Jaguars eke past Ravens in game nobody wanted to win
That gave the Jaguars a free play from the 35-yard line and they sent out kicker Jason Myers, who had missed a 26-yard attempt earlier in the game. As luck would have it, Myers nailed a stunning 53-yard bomb. It dropped the Ravens to their knees and the harsh reality that they are a 2-7 doormat team. What he does under pressure will dictate much of how this game plays out. The score remained close all game and it again came down to the final seconds in the fourth quarter, which has been a familiar scene for this Ravens team. House had his second interception in a little over four minutes. Jacksonville got another break when cornerback Nick Marshall recovered a fumble by the Ravens’ punt returner.

Nonetheless, the defense held the Jaguars to a field goal over that stretch. I am serious. Thanks to you two, CBS Sports was better than the teams on the field today.
Said Thomas: “I saw the face-mask and the first thing I thought was, ‘Fifteen yards and the game can’t end on a defensive penalty – I think we’re going to win this'”.
In the first quarter, a referee’s call that could have gone either way went against Baltimore. Back-to-back first down plays by wide receiver Bryan Walters and Yeldon drove Jacksonville into Baltimore territory. The play advanced the Jaguars to just across midfield, at which point Bortles and the offense rushed to the line of scrimmage for one more play.
Jacksonville ultimately regained the lead on Myers’ 21-yard field goal.
“I think we will just keep progressing and see (if he can play Sunday)”, Bradley said.
Following the Jacksonville field goal, the Ravens responded with a quality scoring drive of their own. On the drive, Flacco was 6-of-7 for 80 yards.
Three passes to Chris Givens passes helped open up the field. Joe Flacco is always a threat but the Ravens receiving corp is lacking with Smith out.
One more second off the clock or another Myers miss and the Jaguars would have sustained a fourth one-possession defeat and it would have been season-crippling.
After a slow start that had the fans booing, quarterback Joe Flacco (34-for-45, 316 yards, three touchdowns, two interceptions, one sack, 98 rating), who found a season-high ten different receivers, used a brisk tempo and a wider variety of targets to give his team the halftime lead. A personal foul on Baltimore safety Will Hill provided Jacksonville with another 15 yards. This time they took advantage with Allen Robinson making the catch in the end zone giving the Jaguars the lead 19-14. Ravens RB Justin Forsett, LB Daryl Smith and LT Eugene Monroe all played for Jaguars, who have former Baltimore RB Bernard Pierce as backup….
“I’ve never seen anything like that before”, Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny said.
Baltimore forced its first turnover in five games when Webb intercepted Bortles.
