Lions’ Butler goes from couch-sitter to game-saver
The Packers punted nine times, the most in a game since a 35-0 loss to the Patriots in 2010 when they had 10 punts.

Although he’s not a household name, Butler has a few experience as he’s now appeared in a regular-season game for eight different teams since being a fifth-round pick by Pittsburgh in 2010.
Finally, the Packers entered the red zone for the first time on the day on the next drive.
The Lions lost the last two weeks by a combined 73-29 score, and things are just not good. On third-and-1, Rodgers hit tight end Richard Rodgers, who fought to get out of bounds at the Detroit 23 with 45 seconds to go. A short time later, Packers DB Damarious Randall was injured and had to come out.
With the win, Detroit goes to (2-7). Starks had in six receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay’s failed comeback bid versus Carolina. Detroit is saddled with a recent front-office shake-up, a quarterback who lacks confidence, a defense that is missing its best players from past year and a 1-7 record with no hope of making the playoffs. If he allows the Lions to have a chance, this could be a better game then we expect.
Lance Moore’s 4-yard touchdown reception increased Detroit’s lead to 18-10, and the Lions held off the Packers following Perillo’s score.
Stafford couldn’t even watch the two-point attempt by Green Bay late in the game because of nerves. Calvin Johnson was first to Mason Crosby’s onside kick but somehow managed to fumble it to give the Packers one last possession.
Not so hidden in Aaron Rodgers’ words is the answer to the burning question.

The same Detroit Lions that sacked both their team president and general manager. “We just looked at it as a rivalry game where we could make history by ending that losing streak”. That is what Wilson will be facing this week, and they way Seattle has played this year, I do not think he will be much above that number. “I missed some throws, and we missed some opportunities to convert and put some more points on the board”. Those doubters can be slowly silenced starting today with a win over a team they should defeat handily. “And frankly, if we spoiled you in the past, that’s great”. “I feel good about our football team”. Ameer Abdullah’s 104-yard kickoff return to open the second half set up Stafford’s 2-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Pettigrew with 13:33 left in the third quarter…. He traded for quarterback Brett Favre, part of a series of moves that helped turn Green Bay back into one of the league’s elite franchises. Media who were at the game, including the Wisconsin State Journal’s Tom Oates and Green Bay Press Gazette’s Pete Dougherty, noted the team’s official injury report listed the Packers looking at Abbrederis’ ribs.
