Harry Kane explains why he was rejected by Arsenal
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier has spoken of his pride after making his debut off the bench for England against Spain.

And he puts much of it down to the work done on the Spurs training ground, where England will be on Monday ahead of their game against France.
“Now there is Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and Jordan Spieth – all young golfers, powerful and so good at what they do”. I’ve said before, you need a bit of luck now and then.
“The first year, last year, he did a lot of work with me around the box, the penalty area movement”. He’s a defender and knows what to come up against as a striker.
And he added two more to his tally by scoring against San Marino and Switzerland in September.
Tottenham striker Harry Kane is hopeful he can emulate Wayne Rooney’s goalscoring record for England.
And he is hopeful playing with Rooney will enable him to be prolific in front of goal for England, saying: “Obviously it’s an awesome achievement for Wayne to be England’s all-time top goalscorer”.
Despite the indifferent start to the season Kane has suffered, he’s now picking up form and scoring goals again and the England global said it didn’t knock his confidence.
“Hopefully in 10 years I’ll still be playing for England and we’ll see where I’m at”. “Hopefully still playing for England and still playing at a high level”. I still felt I was contributing to the team.
“Obviously the season before, I seemed to be scoring pretty much every time I played”.
“The most requests are from people seeing me in the street or out and about asking me to do a wedding video to say, “Congratulations”.
“And when the season started I was aware that people were going to compare me to past year so I was ready for that”.
Kane does not mind the fame side of things – “I know what is like to go up to ask for a picture or be star struck” – and still remembers what it was like when he met David Beckham as a kid, even if there is one request that still amuses him.
Kane will be keen to get one over on one of his Tottenham team-mates at Wembley on Tuesday night, however.

Kane’s most recent goal secured Tottenham a 1-1 draw at rivals Arsenal, where the forward had spent time between the age of seven and nine.
