Canadians show solidarity after Paris terror strikes
“Those people who perpetrated this last night in Paris have nothing to do with Islam – they are nationalists who are after power and money”, Tahir Mahmood, one of the Ahmadi representatives, said. We know that the young people getting involved in ISIS in the Middle East are mostly poor, and very poorly educated. Why did they attack innocent people like that?

In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13, buildings in cities across the globe were lit up in the blue, white and red colors of the French flag in a show of solidarity and support. People left notes, candles and flowers under the park’s arch, the design of which is similar to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
Speaking to Galway Bay fm news at this afternoon’s vigil, he sent his condolences to the people of Paris.
“A God of love, a God of peace, a God who wants us to live as brothers and sisters and who wants us to put all the terrorism and violence abuse aside”, Nugent said. “I’m afraid to go in France…it’s a war”, said Goualiel.
Over on the West Coast, a vigil for the victims of the attacks was also held at the French consulate in Los Angeles. Mourners gathered in Century City in a show of solidarity.

People have gathered to mark the tragedy around the world and pay tribute to the lives lost outside French embassies and cultural institutes. “Even if I’m not in France, I feel concerned, because it’s friends. We mourn for all victims including one of our own”, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted earlier today.
