UNC dominates Miami 59-21 to win 9 games straight
When the UNC football team takes the field at Kenan Stadium this Saturday against the Miami Hurricanes it will be a matchup of two teams who have each broken tradition in a big way recently. “Are you kidding me?”

The Tar Heels had a few fans uncomfortable early on as they struggled to build a lead on the Stags.
“I thought they did a really good job, all three of them”, the 11th-year head coach said. “It’s because of the leadership from those seniors and those players”.
North Carolina and Temple squared up in the Veterans Classic opening game in Annapolis to open both of their seasons. And OK teams get beaten – badly – by good and great teams. They’re energized and feeling good.
UNC has scored a program-record 125 points in its last two games, and hasn’t committed a turnover in three straight games while notching seven takeaways in that span – three coming against Miami.
“Everything we asked them to do they did, and they did it well”, Scott said of Miami’s preparation. “We had a couple of times on turnovers where the ball would bounce right to us, and we’d fumble it, step on it and those kinds of things”. They just kept throwing guys at us. He ran for first-half touchdowns of 10 and 14 yards, and from 3 yards in the third quarter. “It was special, and there was a tremendous burden of responsibility to make sure that happened”, he added. In his final home game, Williams put together a solid two-way performance-completing 11-of-16 throws for 105 yards, while running for another 101.
“Everybody knows (North Carolina) is a very explosive team offensively”, Scott said. If it defeats the Hurricanes and Pitt loses at Duke, it can claim a share of the Coastal division title. As far as Dr. Cook’s prognosis goes, there’s no doubt he will be on the field for a game that will go a long way in determining the Big Ten East champ. UNC has one of the nation’s top pass defenses but Brad Kaaya is second in the ACC with 2,132 passing yards. North Carolina also dominated the glass, totaling 49 rebounds on the night, including ten offensive rebounds.
North Carolina’s Nate Britt (0) and Fairfield’s Marcus Gilbert chase the ball during the first half of an NCAA college basketball game in Chapel Hill, N.C., Sunday, November 15, 2015. However, don’t be surprised to see his next set of predictions paint a brighter future for the Tar Heels, who are quickly becoming a team that nobody wants to play. The Ducks led by as much as 10 in the fourth quarter, 73-63, with 6:45 left to play in the game.

Linebacker Jeff Schoettmer intercepted Kaaya, with his 60-yard return setting up Williams’ 14-yard touchdown run on the next snap for a 24-0 lead. Averaging 7.8 yards per rush to UNC’s team average of 6.5, Hood ran for his second-most yards this season with 132. Williams added 101 rushing yards of his own and played a part in four of UNC’s touchdowns. Senior quarterback Marquise Williams, who threw for a school-record 494 yards last Saturday, told reporters North Carolina continues to be checked out as “irrelevant” & the Tar Heels like in that since it keeps “a chip on our shoulder”. This is only the eighth time in program history that North Carolina finished unbeaten at home for a season…. Still, the Tar Heels must win just one of their final two games (at Virginia Tech and at North Carolina State) to clinch a spot in the ACC Conference Championship against Clemson.
