Minute’s silence across Europe today after Paris attacks
Across Europe, people will be stopping in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the series of terrorist attacks in Paris, France.

In Oxford Town Hall the silence will be led by Lord Mayor Rae Humberstone.
Last night seven candles, four bouquets of roses and a sign which read “we are not afraid” were laid at the top of the Senedd steps as Cardiff joined cities around the world in showing solidarity for Paris. Flags are also being flown at half mast on government buildings.
“We must act in solidarity with the people of Paris to bring these terrorists to justice”. They aim quite simply to destroy western civilisation.
A candlelit vigil is set to be held at Carfax in Oxford tomorrow from 5pm to 6pm.
Nineteen people were killed by gunmen at La Belle Equipe, 15 were killed at Le Carillon Bar, five died at La Casa Nostra restaurant, a bystander was killed after explosions outside the Stade de France, and 89 lost their lives at the Bataclan concert venue.
She said: “It’s really important because the whole country is in mourning”.
“These are not Muslims”.
“We are in our hearts over there and we all have families and friends in Paris”.

Acting Dean, Canon Philip Hesketh, said those affected had been included in their prayers. “All must unite to defeat the evil of terrorism where ever it occurs”.
