Paris terror suspect on-the-loose ‘slipped’ through hands of authorities

A grey Volkswagen Polo vehicle registered in Belgium was found near the Bataclan theater on Boulevard Voltaire in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

“Meanwhile, the French interior minister says police raided 168 locations last night across the country and 104 people have been placed under house arrest in the past 48 hours”.

Reports are emerging from Paris suggesting that the prime suspect, who survived the Paris attacks and remains on the loose, was questioned by French police after the attacks and released.

Update 6.30pm:The death toll of the Paris attacks has risen to 132 after three more people died in hospital.

A few Parisians and tourists defied the high security, walking past heavily-armed soldiers in body armor to take pictures beneath the Eiffel Tower.

The jihadists were heard raging at the French president and his decision in September to begin air strikes on Islamic State in Syria.

A Molenbeek connection keeps coming up in cases of Islamist attacks in Europe going back at least to the 2004 train bombings in Madrid, where one of those jailed for planning them was a Moroccan from the borough. Olivier Bas was among several hundred who gathered late Saturday at the site of the Bataclan concert hall massacre.

Those revelations come as new details about the attackers emerge.

“There was no exit, so we were just in another trap, less exposed, but still a trap”, he said.
