President Mukherjee addresses IITF in Delhi Nov 14, 2:37 pm

The Income Tax department will set up a Taxpayers’ Lounge at the India worldwide Trade Fair (IITF) in New Delhi to provide services such as accepting PAN applications and e-filing of returns.

2015 at Pragati Maidan here, he said this was a time of great opportunities in India.

The IITF protect and promote India’s cultural heritage through collaboration amongst Government, industry, and artisans, craft persons and weavers.

The company did not disclose the specific number of the BTS installed at the trade fair which was inaugurated by India President Pranab Mukherjee. “This annual celebration of trade is to develop our bilateral relations with the rest of the world”, Mukhejee said in his inaugural address here.

Extending India’s global appeal for investment in diverse sectors, Smart Cities, Digital India, model villages, Clean Ganga Mission, and the Jan Dhan Yojana have been depicted in the central and state pavilions, at the venue. President Mukherjee also said that the needs of Afghanistan and India along with Bangladesh have also been factored in well, as Afghanistan is the partner country while Bangladesh is the focus country for the event. President Mukherjee underscored Goa and Jharkhand business potential, which are also the partner states this year while the focus state is Madhya Pradesh. The first five days have been reserved for business visitors, following which, it would be open to the public during November 19-27.

More than 7000 firms from India and overseas are participating in the fair. The overseas participation is from countries like Egypt, Bhutan, China, Cuba, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tibet, Turkey and the UAE.

The ticket rates on public days are Rs 30 and Rs 50 for weekends or holidays. The U-turns on Mathura Road, on all cuts from W-point and T-point with Subramania Bharti Marg, will also be prohibited on these days.
