Out of “an abundance of caution”, all students and staff should shelter in place, school officials said, while others should stay away from the campus.

The George Washington bust at Washington College. The concerned parents said they have been unable to reach their son and did not know where he was going.
The Twitter message was that classes are temporarily suspended and people are being urged to shelter in place until the Department of Public Safety gives the all clear.
Marberger was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and on the executive board of the Student Government Association, as the speaker of the senate.
Washington’s college’s website was updated about an hour and a half later and stated that police now believe that the student, whose parents contacted the school, is still in Pennsylvania.
School officials said the college is closed until further notice and faculty and staff are told not to report.
The college says Chestertown police now consider the student a missing person, last seen driving a green Range Rover.
Anyone with further information about the whereabouts of the student, Jacob Marberger, are being asked to notify public safety at 410-778-7810.
