Week 10 NFL Betting Recap: Underdogs, unders cash big
They haven’t lost a game by more than three point since Week 3 when they got beat soundly by Seattle.

Take, for example, the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers.
Minnesota Vikings at Oakland Raiders: This could be the game of the week. As usual, Adrian Peterson is playing at an elite level. Peterson was a clock-grinding workhorse that helped the Vikings control the ball for almost 11 of the game’s final 15 minutes. Only the Panthers, Patriots and Bengals have better records than the Vikings’ 7-2.
The Panthers should win his game. You give the erudite Chiefs coach two weeks to prepare, and he will have the mother-of-all game plans.
Each week throughout the 2015 NFL Season, ProFootballHOF.com will preserve a few history by taking a look back at a matchup from the weekend’s schedule.
All Baltimore does is play close games.
New England Patriots (-7) at NY Giants – Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick have dominated everybody over the last 15 years except for Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning. He’ll be tough to replace even for New England, so this game may see a heavy dose of LaGarrette Blount Force Trauma against a soft Giants rush defense, and perhaps a tighter, lower scoring affair. Numerous teams are in play to grab the No. 1 seed in the conference and get home-field advantage in the playoffs. Can you name the second leading pass catcher in the Panthers offense?
The Chiefs put themselves back into the AFC playoffs conversation with their third straight win. More importantly, their last five games have been decided by 12 total points. It was not as good of a day for Denver and Peyton Manning.
Andre Johnson, with whom Luck connected on one of the late touchdowns, also caught three more passes, totaling 81 yards for the game. Don’t count the Chiefs out just yet. They’ve got 10 days to prepare for the Texans, and then in Week 11, their first big test comes against the Cardinals on Sunday night. The Bills are 4-4 and this could be a big game for the wild card standings by the end of the season. Any other week I take the points, but this week I like the Packers to roll. Told you it was a insane NFL Sunday!
Raiders (-3) over Vikings: Really fun game, and it could go either way. Rams quarterback Nick Foles had a day to forget as he finished 17-for-36 for 200 yards and one pick, but throwing vertically was virtually impossible for him. This feels like last call for Dallas if it is going to save its season.
The Dolphins kept their playoff hopes alive and well with a nice comeback win over the Eagles in Philly, but things didn’t start out smoothly for Miami. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill blows hot and cold but, if he’s on form, could be the difference. The Saints were looking like a team on the rise before last week’s home OT loss against the Titans. More importantly, Jacksonville moves to 3-6 and are still somehow in the AFC South playoffs picture.
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton threw for 248 yards with two touchdowns, while runningback Jonathan Stewart ran for 82 yards with a touchdown, as the Panthers improved to 7-0. Rodgers does not lose often, especially in succession, and the last time he has lost three in a row was in 2008.
While there’s still one game left to be played, Week 10 in the National Football League was all about the underdogs and unders at the betting window.
Kirk Cousins absolutely went off on Sunday, picking apart the Saints’ defense to the tune of 324 yards and four touchdowns on 20-of-25 passing. That’s a flawless 158.3 quarterback rating. The Patriots held D-Jax in check in his first game back from a hamstring injury last Sunday, but he could go off in this one.
Bears offense no longer offensive? He was a healthy scratch for the last five games of a year ago after the trade. That defeat snaps a two-week roll I had over my guests in the column. Seattle has given up 27 points or more in their four losses.
What can Brown do for you?
The Patriots began the season as the team thought to be the best in the league by a few and they have lived up to their reputation, outscoring opponents by a collective 133 points over eight games.
Here is the first NFL Week 10 Edition of the 5th Quarter Sports Power 5.
Cleveland caught a break not having to face Ben Roethlisberger (18-2 vs. Browns). Take the Packers with great confidence in this one. CB Brandon Browner leads all DBs in penalties.
In theory, the medical spotter is supposed to be able to observe these injuries during the course of play and get the players off the field for testing earlier than the end of the drive.
As the bulk of week 10 in the 2015 NFL season is behind us, we’re still left with the same three undefeated teams: The New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals, who still need to play the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.

Adrian Peterson has certainly hit his stride, in case you were wondering. If Bridgewater plays, it will be the first duel between Bridgewater and Derek Carr of the Raiders. That’s pretty good company.
