And that’s exactly what it looked like.
The Chiefs pressured Manning into a mistake-filled outing that included four interceptions and culminated in his third-quarter benching, and Kansas City shut down the Denver Broncos long enough for a 29-13 victory Sunday. They want to do everything they can for their football team.

Manning said after the game that he didn’t consider telling the coaches at halftime that he didn’t feel right, physically. “They did a tremendous job, five turnovers”. He was ejected, however, and the score still put the Broncos in a 29-0 hole they could not dig out of.
Manning, for his part, refused to blame his fitness problems for his poor play, saying: “I have a really hard time using my injuries as an excuse”.
“I’m proud of our guys for what they did there”. The four interceptions gave the Chiefs great field position and the Broncos defense simply couldn’t be as effective playing on short fields.
Manning completed five passes in 20 attempts on Sunday.
“I didn’t play well, I had a bad game, and I’m not sure what else you can say about that”, Manning told the Denver Post, adding that stopping the game to acknowledge his feat was “awkward”. Got to go much further back to find the last time Detroit won at Green Bay: 1991. “So grateful to have him”.
Peters is now tied for second all-time in franchise history for passes defensed in a rookie season with 13, joining Dale Carter (1992) and Brandon Flowers (2008).
Manning said he he should not have tried to play through injuries to his right foot, ribs and right shoulder.
“We played the way we were supposed to and we dominated the way we were supposed to”, linebacker Justin Houston said after the game. “The biggest thing is communication and everybody talking”.
The Broncos (7-2) saw their nine-game AFC West winning streak come to an end with their first loss to the Chiefs (4-5) since Tim Tebow was their quarterback in 2011.

Peyton Manning redifined football, and despite his lack of Superbowls (football is a team sport so it is unfair to totally equate wins with success) he will in my eyes be the greateset quarterback I have ever seen.
