Game of Thrones Season 6: Which Dead Character Will Ian McShane Resurrect?
Actor Ian McShane hasn’t even appeared on “Game of Thrones” yet, but he’s already one of our favorite characters – mainly because he’s dropping tantalizing spoilers.

At the same time it’s also set to offer a series of surprises like we’ve never seen on what has become known as the most pirated TV show in history.
In an interview with Pop Goes The News, the Deadwood actor intriguingly stated: “I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you’re never going to see again”, the 73-year-old told the publication (via Vanity Fair).
Nooo. We need to know! I’ll leave it at that.
Many will immediately start thinking he is somehow linked to Jon Snow (Kit Harington) who was seemingly killed at the hands of his own men at the end of the last season. In addition, Tyrions dead lover, Shae, was also spotted in costume on the set earlier this year, although since Game of Thrones employs the use of flashbacks now, its entirely possible that any of these appearances may not have anything to do with the role Ian McShane will occupy on the popular HBO drama. There are a number of characters who could be brought back.
“I’ll give you one hint”, McShane said. Either of these possibilities, Vulture points out, could mean that McShane will play a combination of the books’ Septon Meribald and the Elder Brother. Or perhaps he is being less literal in his quote and will instead be playing a character (possibly the bandit character Rorge), who comes into possession of the Hound’s helmet and wears it into battle? Elder Brother is said to have healing powers, and there’s a gravedigger on the Isle who – while not named – fits the description of Sandor Clegane.

Another theory is that it could be Lady Catelyn Stark being brought back from the dead as Lady Stoneheart, since Michelle Fairley has been rumored to have been to Belfast a few times in the past months. I think its important to note that McShane only hints that he will be bringing someone back, not necessarily bringing someone back from the dead. Lady Stoneheart has already been introduced in the books, leading many to anticipate her arrival on the show.
