The 17-year-old shared a picture of her father, known as The Crocodile Hunter, smiling and holding a crocodile, captioning the photo with, “The greatest dad on Earth”. Today, let’s celebrate together on the other side of the world, today on November 15.
The Aussie teen has grown up in the public eye thanks to the documented conservation efforts of her father, and is now receiving more worldwide attention than ever as a top-rating constant on this season’s Dancing With the Stars US.
She and partner Derek Hough earlier performed a salsa routine set to Sia’s cover of You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile, before Bindi dove into the arms of the audience and crowd-surfed.
The famous Crocodile Hunter star and wildlife expert tragically died in September 2006 after he was stabbed in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary entitled Ocean’s Deadliest.
Bindi and Derek also won a samba dance-off against Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess, which earned them an extra three points.

Nonetheless, the activist’s main man shouldn’t be too stressed as she wrote a particularly gush-worthy post and pic (above) on IG for the American athlete’s birthday. You remembered Steve, our mate, his message and have continued his mission. “Khaki is not just a colour, it’s an attitude!” Hough also took to his own personal Instagram to share an adorable photo of Bindi and her father from when she was a little girl, looking so happy as always. “It’s officially #steveirwinday in Australia”, he wrote.
