When he was a member of the Saints, Galette was arrested and charged with domestic abuse battery after an alleged incident with a female acquaintance.
Washington signed Galette at the start of training camp after he was released by New Orleans because of off-field issues.
Galette was arrested in January after an alleged domestic dispute.
Galette already will miss the remainder of this season after suffering a torn Achilles in August.
Though Galette wouldn’t be playing anyway, the Washington Post reports he will be docked two game checks because of the suspension.
Lastly, there was the surfacing of a video which shows a man reported to be Galette striking a woman during a massive brawl. He was on a split contract, meaning he only made $413,000 instead of the $745,000 that he would have been guaranteed if he had stayed healthy until Week 1. From signing a $41.5 Million contract with the Saints to the NFL’s ruling on his two-game suspension for domestic violence, Junior Galette has surely had one of the bigger falls from grace in recent National Football League history.
