Thousands of mourners have held the funeral procession for two Palestinians killed by Israeli forces during a raid in Qalandiya refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

According to the Israeli military, hundreds of Palestinians threw rocks and firebombs at security forces, while a few opened fire.

Dozens of Palestinian civilians were shot and critically injured by Israeli live rounds in the same clashes. He said there would have been more Israeli deaths if not for Israel’s aggressive policies “to control the ground, go into the villages, demolish terrorists’ homes and take preventive action against the infrastructures of terrorism”.

Since the beginning of October Israeli forces have killed 83 Palestinians.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops on Saturday destroyed three houses belonging to Palestinians in the northern West Bank city of Nablus and the town of Silwad near Ramallah.

“Netanyahu is attempting to exploit the cruel and inhuman terrorism of Daesh in order to score cheap political points at the expense of the Palestinian people”, said Palestinian Executive Committee member Hanan Ashrawi, referring to ISIS by its Arabic abbreviation.

The army, in a joint statement with the Shin Bet security agency, did not disclose the number of people arrested, but added that “forces also located the weapon and vehicle used to execute the attack”.

The Israeli soldiers assaulted the paramedics in the camp, the ministry confirmed.

The bloodshed has been fueled by a dispute over access to a site in Jerusalem holy to both Muslims and Jews, as well as by the deadlock in Palestinian statehood talks.

In Britain, Prime Minister David Cameron announced Monday that seven terror attacks have been foiled in Britain over the past six months.

Blair said the experience and contacts made during his eight years in that post would help him in his new effort, though he is viewed with skepticism in the region. The Syrian civil war and rise of the Islamic State militant group have largely pushed the Palestinian issue off the worldwide agenda.
