“I have great fans, awesome fans, but then there are a few that just come up, and I start laughing because it’s so creative”, Logano said. “I’m like, ‘Wow, I didn’t know I sucked on so many different levels.’ It was interesting to me”.
NASCAR tossed the 2003 Cup champion for two races after he intentionally wrecked Joey Logano at Martinsville Speedway on November 1.
He also tweeted following Jimmie Johnson’s win at Texas Motor Speedway on November 8 that Johnson’s clean pass of Keselowski was “quintessential” – the same term France used to describe the contact between Logano and Kenseth at Kansas.
Logano was leading at Martinsville when Kenseth intervened.
NASCAR chairman Brian France met Monday with Matt Kenseth three days after the suspended driver defiantly promised to remain aggressive when he returns for the season finale this weekend.
Although his suspension – resulting from his collision with Joey Logano at Martinsville – is now fully served, Kenseth remains on probation for the Homestead race.
Kenseth says he felt he had no choice but to take a stand with Logano after incidents over three consecutive races.
“I use it as motivation”, Logano said. “I’m looking forward to homestead”.
“A bad attitude is just as contagious as a good attitude, so I think making sure your head is in the right spot helps keep the rest of the team motivated and thinking positively as we should”.
