Potbox: It’s the monthly marijuana subscription box stoners have been craving

And, of course, you’ll get a full description of where your cannabis was grown, and how it was harvested.

At this point, it may be easier to count things that don’t have a subscription-based service behind it, and although Potbox may not be the first marijuana subscription box to date, it is certainly the fanciest we’ve seen.

The aptly-named PotBox ships 10 grams of weed to your door every month for $150. The company also includes two pre-rolled joints with each delivery to let customers get straight down to business, with the joints packaged in wax-sealed vials to “ensure maximum freshness”.

The only caveat: It’s only available in San Francisco right now.

Each Potbox contains a quarter-ounce each of two different strains of all-natural cannabis, expertly selected and customized to your preferences. Potbox costs $149.99 per month, which is steep compared to the estimated Californian street price of $60 for a quarter-ounce (according to crowdsourced pot index Price of Weed).

Potbox prides itself on quality, ethically-produced cannabis, which is all grown in small batches on three different farms in the Santa Cruz area.

Potbox seems like a stoner’s dream come true, but the service is only available in California and only for registered medical marijuana patients.

If you are a fan of receiving your snacks (Graze) or your make-up (Ipsy) from a monthly box service, there is something new on the market that you might want to consider: Pot Box! If Whole Foods did marijuana, this is what it would look like.
