Unless you really haven’t been paying attention, you probably know that both the CW’s superhero shows, “Arrow” and “The Flash”, have been spending their respective fourth and second seasons delicately setting up the upcoming spinoff “Legends of Tomorrow”. Check out Flash hanging out with Team Arrow and Hawkman and Hawkgirl.
A year ago the Arrow/ The Flash crossover didnt have a lot tying the narratives of the two episodes together, with only Captain Boomerangs presence serving as the main connective thread.
The Arrow/Flash crossover will take place three weeks from now, in Arrow 4×08 “Legends of Yesterday” and The Flash 2×08 “Untitled”. After Vandal attacks Kendra and Cisco (Carlos Valdes), they turn to Barry (Grant Gustin) for help. Falk Hentschel hasn’t been seen yet on any CW hero show as Hawkman, but he will be in full costume before the crossover is out as well. Meanwhile, Harrison (Tom Cavanagh) develops a serum to make Barry run faster and asks Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) to test it out. Meanwhile, Felicity, Thea, Diggle and Laurel work with Team Flash to come up with a weapon powerful enough to destroy Vandal Savage.

The shared universe has been pretty successful thus far for Arrow andThe Flash, but there’s already a concern that the storytelling on said shows has suffered due to the need to smoothly set up this latest spin-off. It is also observed that the upcoming TV series of The CW network is harming the Vigilante Archer’s show. Check out the first look image below.
