“I was blessed that it rolled back there to me because I was definitely exhausted”, Knight said. “Getting into the ball and putting pressure on the ball, it makes it a lot easier for me because now I don’t have to worry about going through that screen when the ball-handler isn’t so much anxious about trying to come off aggressive, but more so the pressure I’m putting on him”. “My teammates were telling me. When you see that first one, you’ll probably know he’s a hundred percent”.

Knight had 24 points on 11-of-23 shooting, 10 rebounds and a career-high 15 assists.

On the season, the Phoenix Suns average 104.2 points, 48.2 rebounds and 19.0 assists per game.

Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said it is possible that he will stick with Goodwin for a while, saying it is hard on players to be shuffled in and out of the rotation. “When you see that first one you’ll know”. Bledsoe scored 30 points in Saturday’s 105-81 dismantling of the Denver Nuggets for his second 30-point outing of the season.

He’s not quite the speaker that Knight is, but he is showing more of his personality this year in post game interviews.

“They feed off each other, ” Williams said. He makes Marcelo Huertas look like an absolute fool, pulling off a crossover so nasty that Huertas spins around like a dreidel on Hanukkah. “I would just say trusting each other”. “We just didn’t do our job matching them”. But, well, all that happened here was he got twirled around like he was on a Disneyland ride.

– One of the reasons the Lakers hung around for so long was because of the play of second-year guard Jordan Clarkson. His back-to-back dunks started a 9-0 run to close the period and give the Suns a 26-22 lead.

The Lakers missed six conseutive shots and twice turned the ball over in the final 3:20 of the quarter. Eric Bledsoe got so excited he ran around waving his towel assuming, apparently, that the Lakers would call a timeout after such a big play.

Nobody really talks about them, but the Suns can be trouble. At one point, he assisted on five straight made field goals, the last of which was on Warren’s six-foot jump shot which gave the Suns a 103-86 lead with 5:41 to play. Kobe Bryant had 17 points, nine assists and eight rebounds in a season-high 36 minutes against Detroit and told reporters after Sunday’s game that he will not play against the Suns. “It all started on defense, making them take tough shots and get going the other way”.
